When I was a designer (a LONG time ago!) I always tried to push the software a little farther. Knowing some extra tricks usually paid off, and that’s why this post is worth checking out. Enjoy.
Wow!! This year’s SolidWorks World was packed with sessions, events, meetings and great fun! Our team had a great time with customers and partners and we learned a lot as always. If you couldn’t make it this year, please try and get to SolidWorks World 2012 in San Diego! You won’t be sorry.
The buzz is still loud in the blogosphere regarding the conference. You can get started at the SolidWorks blog. A few new products were announced: SolidWorks n!Fuze, Post3D, and SolidWorks Live Buildings for the AEC market. We were reacquainted with New SolidWorks CEO Bertrand Sicot. Bertrand has been with the company 15 years in various roles and we’ve enjoyed working with him on many occassions.
We especially want to thank our customers for their business in 2010. Symmetry Solutions received the “Elite 190 Club” award for the fourth year in a row. The award recognizes the top subscription service resellers worldwide. We were one of only four VAR’s in North America to receive the award.

I continue to be amazed at how our customers push the envelope and solve problems around the world. In this case JetEdge Inc contributed to the stopping of the BP well by removing ice crystals from a containment cap.

I’m pleased to announce DS SolidWorks Corporation is performing a customer satisfaction survey again in 2010. The results of this survey are extremely important to us.
As always, Symmetry Solutions encourges your feedback and welcomes ways we can improve your customer experience. At any time feel free to contact us and please, before completing the survey, if there is anything you can not enter as a positive experience contact us so we may try to help you.
DS SolidWorks Corp has again commissioned NetReflector, an independent marketing firm to conduct the survey via email. For the second straight year I am able to provide a URL in case you missed the email (probably due to spam filters).

Thanks to all those who attended our Open House on May 13th. We really enjoyed seeing all of you and, of course, enjoyed showing you our new facility. We played some games and gave away some really sweet prizes to lucky and skilled winners (those that could hit a virtual baseball the farthest, correctly model the fastest in SolidWorks 2010, and toss a bean bag accurately!).
Our grand prize, an Apple iPad, was won by Ben Pagel, of Remmele Engineering, Inc. Congrats Ben!
Watch a slideshow video of photos from the event below. Thanks for coming everyone!
